Telangana Budget 2023-Highlights
The Finance Minister of Telangana Mr Harish Rao recently presented the budget for the state. The highlights of the budget are as follows:
The Government of Telangana allocated Rs 200 crores for the KCR Nutrition kit
- Rs 3001 crores for the higher education department
- Rs 1644 crores for transport
- Rs 1500 crores for Telangana State Road Transport Corporation
- Rs 11,372 crores for the municipal department
- Rs 500 crores for Hyderabad airport
- Rs 500 crores for metro connectivity
- Rs 1000 crores for Information and Public Relations Department
- Rs 9,500 crores for the home department
- Rs 1,644 crores for the transport department
- Rs 2,00 crores for village roads
- 3,965 crores for tribal welfare
- Rs 2,200 crores for minority welfare
- Rs 15,233 crores for STs in the state
- Rs 12,727 crores for the power sector
- Raithu Bandhu Scheme: Rs 1575 crores
- Rythu Bima Scheme: Rs 1,589 crores
- Urban and Rural Pragathi scheme: Rs 4834 crores
- Cultivation of oil seeds: Rs 1000 crores
- Funds to develop universities: Rs 500 crores
- Production incentives for industries: Rs 2937 crores
- Subsidies to industries for electricity: Rs 2937 crores
- Loans to Food Processing plants: Rs 266 crores
- Arogya Sree scheme: Rs 1463 crores
