Notes:- Qimingxing-50, or Morning Star-50, is China’s first fully solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
- It is a high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) UAV, which can stay airborne for long durations.
- The drone flies above 20-km altitude where there is stable airflow with no clouds. This helps these drones to make the maximum use of solar equipment to stay functional for extended durations.
- Quasi Satellite – As the drone can operate in near-space (20 km to 100 km above the Earth’s surface), it is capable of carrying out satellite-like functions.
- These drones are also referred to as ‘High Altitude Platform Stations’ or pseudo-satellites.

- Under NVBDCP, three diseases namely Malaria (by 2030), Filaria (by 2030) & Kala-Azar (by 2023) are under elimination programme. These diseases are targeted for elimination, and not for eradication. Eradication of the disease is permanent reduction to zero of the worldwide incidences of infection caused by specific agent as a result of deliberate efforts; and when intervention measures are no longer needed.
- For Leprosy, the government is implementing the National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) with the goal of making India leprosy free.
