Geneva-based World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) released the World Intellectual Property Indicators (WIPI) report.
As per the report, global intellectual property filings of patents, trademarks, and designs-reached record levels in 2021 are driven largely by increases from Asian countries of India, China, and South Korea.

Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar attended the pre-launch celebration of International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023.
In 2018, India proposed to the United Nation to declare 2023 as the International Year of Millets. It was approved by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in 2018.

Goods and Services Tax was introduced in the country with effect from July 1, 2017. The states were assured for compensation for loss of any revenue arising on account of implementation of GST as per the provisions of the GST (Compensation to States) Act, 2017 for a period of five years.
Centre has recently released Rs 17,000 crore to States and Union Territories as balance compensation for goods and services tax (GST) for the period, April-June 2022.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched successfully PSLV-C54 carrying Oceansat-3 also known as Earth Observation Satellite-6, and 8 nano-satellites.
The satellite was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The eight nanosatellites include ISRO Nano Satellite-2 for Bhutan (INS-2B), Anand, Astrocast (four satellites), and two Thybolt satellites.

Padma Shri Khel Ratna and Arjuna Awardee Deepa Malik has been named Ni-Kshay Mitra and national ambassador for TB Mukt Bharat Campaign.
Deepa Malik is India’s First Woman Paralympic Medalist and President of the Paralympic Committee of India. Ni-Kshay Mitra is an initiative launched by the President of India Droupadi Murmu which seeks to provide aid to TB afflicted patients on three levels of nutritional, additional diagnostic, and vocational support.
