What is the LiFE mission? How could it help India and other like-minded nations in its climate action?

The mission LiFE (Lifestyle For Environment) launched by the Prime Minister of India during COP26 is an initiative to make the fight against climate change democratic, such that everyone can contribute to it within their capacity.

Mission LiFE:

  • It is based on the fact that the environment can be protected by making changes in our lifestyle.
  • It is an initiative for a sustainable and healthy lifestyle to achieve the sustainable development goals.
  • It promotes an environmentally conscious lifestyle focusing on mindful and deliberate utilisation instead of mindless and wasteful consumption.
