The first EU-India Green Hydrogen Forum was organized jointly by the Delegation of the European Union and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
It was launched in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Hydrogen Europe. The event brought together EU-India businesses to discuss joint projects on hydrogen and international hydrogen trade.

Notes:
A committee headed by retired Supreme Court judge Ranjana Prakash Desai was set up by the Uttarakhand government to prepare a draft of Uniform Civil Code.
The Committee has recently launched a web portal to invite feedback and suggestions from people. People of the state can log into the portal and share their suggestions, grievances and complaints.

Notes:
China has successfully tested its first fully solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Named ‘Qimingxing-50’, the UAV can fly for months and can function even as a satellite if required.
It is the first large-sized UAV powered only by solar energy. . This technology will promote China’s Defence prowess. It can also be used in the field of renewable energy, new materials and aeronautical engineering.

Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the first National Conference on Sustainable Coastal Management in India in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The Conference was focused on enhancing climate resilience of India’s coastal communities. It was attended by officials from all 13 coastal states of India with focus on the three interrelated themes of coastal and marine biodiversity, climate mitigation and adaptation and coastal pollution.

Notes:
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated India’s longest rubber dam ‘Gayaji Dam’ on the Falgu River. It is a vast stretch of sand dunes.
He also inaugurated the steel foot over bridge for the convenience of visitors who visit during Pitripaksha Mela. “The dam has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 324crore with the guidance from IIT (Roorkee).
