India has recently nominated the dance form Garba to be inscribed on UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list.
The inclusion of ‘Durga Puja’ on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage representative was made last year. India was elected by UNESCO to serve on the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in July.

India’s Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and his Australian counterpart, Jason Clare announced the establishment of a working group on transnational education.
The working group aims to build shared understanding of the regulatory settings in both countries and promote opportunities for a two-way mobility of institutions. The Union Minister co-chaired the sixth meeting of the Australia India Education Council (AIEC).

Notes:
India’s first commercial space situational awareness observatory is to be established in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand by Digantara, a space sector start-up.
The observatory aims to track objects as small as 10 cm in size orbiting the earth. This will improve the effectiveness of tracking and identifying pre-existing resident space objects, and will be used to create a hybrid data pool.

India’s Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar jointly inaugurated the new Indian Embassy in Asuncion in Paraguay with his counterpart.
This is the first ever visit of an Indian Foreign Minister to the Republic of Paraguay which has taken place as the two countries completed the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Kerala government has announced to introduce an online monitoring system, to keep track of medicines in government-run medical institutions.
The system aims to keep track of availability and distribution of medicines. The state’s health minister announced that hospital employees should use the online system of Kerala Medical Services Corporation (KMSCL) to ensure availability of medicines.
