Ukraine has been recently to ‘Continental Europe Synchronous Area (CESA)’. It is an electricity grid spanning much of the continental Europe.
This step will allow Ukraine to decouple its Power system from hostile Russia. Though this move was planned after Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014, the recent Russian invasion has fast-tracked the decision.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently launched green hydrogen-based advanced fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).
Named Toyota Mirai, it is the first-of-its-kind project in India that aims to create an ecosystem for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles in the country. It is powered by hydrogen and is completely environment-friendly.

A “Green Triangle” named after Mahatma Gandhi was jointly inaugurated in Madagascar’s capital Antananarivo, to commemorate India’s 75th year of independence.
The ‘Greening the Area’ meets the objective of the Urban Municipality of Antananarivo to create the maximum green space in the capital city of Madagascar.

The Dishaank application is implemented by Karnataka for digitisation of all land records (under the Bhoomi project).
The mobile application has been developed under the Karnataka Geographical Information System program of the Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Center (KSRSAC). This is expected to bring in transparency and reduce land-related disputes.

The United States Senate unanimously passed a law making daylight saving time (DST) permanent. It has scrapped the biannual practice of putting clocks forward and back coinciding with the arrival and departure of winter.
After it is signed into a law, the practice of turning clocks back by an hour to standard time every November will stop and DST (which starts in March) will be in effect all year round.
