Ayurveda Parv-2021 inaugurated- Highlights
Minister of State (MoS) for Ayush, Munjpara Mahedrabhai, virtually inaugurated the Ayurveda Parv-2021 on November 26, 2021 in New Delhi.

- Ayurveda Parv-2021 is a three-day event, which is being organised to promote Ayurveda.
- Under the event, an exhibition has been arranged comprising of 40 stalls besides the participation of pharmaceutical companies.
- This event has been organized for proper utilization of Ayurvedic health care as well as for coordination and better utilization of Ayurvedic education, research, and manufacturing of medicines.
About Ayurveda Parv
The Ayurveda Parv is organised with the aim of ensuring greater acceptance of Ayurveda among masses and popularizing Ayurveda as mainline treatment for several lifestyle diseases. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of AYUSH.
Significance of the event
In last two years, this initiative has become more significant in the light of covid-19 situation. It emphasised the need of promotion of Ayurveda amid the pandemic situation.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an ancient medicine system having its historical roots in Indian subcontinent. Ayurveda is heavily practiced in countries like India and Nepal. Around 80% of the population have been reported to use Ayurveda medicine system to cure lifestyle diseases. In India, Ayurveda is promoted by Ministry of AYUSH, which was constituted by Indian government on November 9, 2014. India also celebrates “National Ayurveda Day” on Dhanteras, which marks the birth of Dhanvantari.
