In a bid to reduce malnutrition and anaemia, the Assam Government is implementing Infant and Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) programme in the State. The ambitious project is being implemented at Lahowal Block in Dibrugarh district and Sipajhar Block in Darrang district on pilot basis under Chief Minister’s Vision for Women and Children 2016 programme. If the project proves successful, it will be implemented in other areas of the state by the next financial year.
