Indian Naval Ship Tabar arrived at St Petersburg to participate in the 325th Navy Day celebrations of the Russian Navy.
INS Tabar is a Talwar-class stealth frigate and is a part of the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, based at Mumbai under the Western Naval Command. During the stay at St Petersburg, the crew of Tabar will participate in various bilateral interactions with the Russian Navy.

Notes:
Exercise Cutlass Express 2021, commenced on July 26 along the East Coast of Africa. It is an annual maritime exercise conducted to promote national and regional maritime security in East Africa and the Western Indian Ocean.
The 2021 edition of the exercise involves the participation of 12 Eastern African countries, US, UK, India and various international organisations, like IMO, UNODC, EUNAVFOR, CRIMARIO and EUCAP Somalia. Indian Naval Ship (INS) Talwar is participating in Exercise Cutlass Express 2021.

The non-performing assets (NPAs) or bad loans of banks were worth Rs 8.34 lakh crore, at the end of March 31, 2021.
‘Gross Loans and Advances – Outstanding’ of Scheduled Commercial Banks rose to Rs 113.99 lakh crore as of March 31, 2021. NPAs have declined by Rs 61,180 crore from Rs Rs 8.96 lakh crore carried at the end of March 2020. Rs 9,33,779 crore was the NPA of the banks in 2019.

Lok Sabha has recently passed National Institutes of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Bill, 2021.
It has awarded the status of ‘Institutions of National Importance’ to NIFTEM (National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management) at Kundli in Haryana and IIFPT (Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology) at Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu.

Notes:
Kandla Special Economic Zone (KASEZ) is the First Green SEZ to achieve the IGBC Green Cities Platinum Rating for Existing Cities, by CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
KASEZ was Asia’s first Export Processing Zone (EPZ) and it is considered as India’s largest multi-product functional SEZ. It is situated on the gulf of Kutch on the west coast of Gujarat at a distance of 9 Kms from Kandla port.
