Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana

Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana is a scheme of the Delhi government that was to be launched in March 2021. It is a doorstep ration scheme that delivers foodgrains from the public distribution system (PDS) to the doorstep of ration card owners. Private agencies are to be roped in by the Delhi Consumer’s Co-operative Wholesale Store Ltd (responsible for running the fair price shops in Delhi) for doorstep delivery. The e-POS method would be used for biometric verification of the beneficiaries before the packaged rations are delivered. Recently, the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution halted the implementation of the scheme.
