Caatinga

This is a type of thorn forest found in arid regions of north-eastern Brazil. With temperatures around 20°c in the north-eastern parts of Brazil and the low average annual rainfall, semi-arid condition prevails here. Under such geographical conditions, the natural vegetations is in the form of scrubs and thorny bushes. This is one of the sparsely populated and less developed regions of Brazil of Brazil.
