State of the World’s Indigenous People report
State of the World’s Indigenous People (SOWIP) report is a UN initiative to raise awareness about the issues of indigenous people across the world. It is being published since 2009 and since then become an advocacy tool for indigenous peoples’ rights. The recently released State of the world’s indigenous peoples: Rights to Land, territories and resources report highlights protection of indigenous peoples’ land titles and tenure as crucial for attaining the sustainable development goals.
