Rape investigation kit

Rape investigation kit or sexual assault evidence collection kit are a set of tools used to carry out medico-legal investigations in case of sexual assault and rape cases. They help in collection of samples like blood, semen, etc. It includes tubes and bottles for evidence collection in addition to instructions to aid the collection. The government is considering the procurement of rape investigation kits using the Nirbhaya Fund to equip police stations.
