The Cave of Horror
The Cave of Horror is a desert cave in Israel. It refers to the cave 8 in the Judean Desert where skeletons of 40 people- men, women and children- were discovered since 1960. It is an archaeological site where artefacts like Bar Kokhba coins, Greek version of ‘Book of the Twelve’, potsherds, etc. have been discovered. Recently, archaeologists discovered fragments of 2nd century copies of the Book of Zechariah and Book of Nahum at this site.
