Dead Sea Scrolls
Dead Sea scrolls or Qumran Cave scrolls are a collection of religious manuscripts that were discovered in desert caves in West Bank above Dead Sea. Between 1947 and 1956, some 900 manuscripts bearing Jewish texts dating back to a period between 3rd century BC and the 1st century AD. These scrolls bear some of the earliest copies of Biblical texts. Recently, fragments of 2,000 year old scrolls bearing Greek texts were discovered in the Judean Desert.
