J0437+2456 blackhole

J0437+2456 blackhole is a supermassive blackhole inside the Galaxy J0437+2456 which is 228 million light years away from the Earth. It is the 1st known wandering supermassive blackhole. It has a mass about 3 million times that of the Sun. it was detected with the help of maser- a laser like beam of radio light that is emitted by water as it moves in the accretion disk around the blackhole. The masers are used for accurately determining the blackholes’ velocity.
