Gliese 486b

Glise 486b is a newly discovered ‘super Earth’ that is located just 26.8 light years away from constellation Virgo. It is one-fifth of the Sun’s mass and three times the size of the Earth. It revolves around the dwarf star Gliese 486 in around 1.5 days. Its surface temperature is around 430 degree Celsius. It has gained spotlight because of its close proximity to the Earth and its thin atmosphere.
