Third party cookies

Third party cookies

Third party cookies are cookies that originate from a third party such as an advertiser and not from the operator of the website that is being visited by the user. They are also called as ‘tracking cookies’ or ‘targeting cookies’. They are used to track the user’s behaviour, which is then used by the third party as a marketing tool. Google has announced that it would be phasing out support for such cookies on its Chrome browser.
