World Report on Hearing

The first-ever World Report on Hearing released by the World Health Organisation predicted that one in every four individuals across the globe will experience mild to profound hearing loss by 2050. At least 700 million individuals will suffer from disabling hearing loss and require ear and hearing care. The reasons behind this estimations are increased noise pollution, genetic causes, infectious diseases, birth complications, drug usage and aging.
