Parvo
Parvo is a viral disease currently targeting dogs in Kanpur. This contagious disease causes infectious gastrointestinal illness in puppies and young dogs. Infections can be prevented with vaccination. However, mortality can reach 91% if untreated. The recent outbreak occurred in Kyontara village. Eight dogs are reportedly dead because of this infection. The symptoms of this disease – lethargy, vomiting, fever and bloody diarrhoea – develop within 3-10 days.
