‘A Street Scene in Montmartre’ is a painting by Dutch painter, Vincent Van Gogh. It was painted in 1887 and is being opened for public viewing after more than a century. It is to be auctioned at the Sotheby’s auction house and is expected to fetch between 5 million and 8 million euros. The painting depicts a street in Montmartre, a district in Paris. The artist had lived in Paris between 1886 and 1888.
