Countering Chinese Propaganda Act

Countering Chinese Propaganda Act was introduced recently in the US Congress. The proposed legislation is based on the recommendations from the Republican Study Committee’s National Security Strategy. It authorises sanctions against the United Front Work Department, which is involved in pro-China Communist propaganda. The main aim of this bill is to counter the Chinese propaganda by creating a new sanctions authority against China-backed disinformation networks.
