Alfred Park
Alfred Park is the former name of the Chandrashekhar Azad Park in Allahabad. It is a public park that was built in 1870 to mark the arrival of Prince Alfred. It was renamed in 1931 after the freedom fighter, Chandrashekhar Azad. This 133 acre park is where he was shot dead. Recently, the Gujarat High Court recalled the 1987 ruling by Allahabad High Court on contestation over construction plans in the park.
