Seaweed Mission

Seaweed Mission was unveiled recently for the promotion of commercial farming of seaweeds and its value addition. This mission involves the demonstration of various activities involved in the seaweed cultivation and value addition. Seaweed nurseries will also be established for the seed distribution. Other activities under this mission include the promotion of processing technologies and seaweed consumption. The mission seeks to utilise potential of seaweed cultivation in EEZ and other areas.
