Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act

The Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act is an Act passed in 1971 to prohibit the desecration of national symbols such as the National Anthem, National Flag, Constitution, etc. Recently, the UP police arrested the relatives of famer who died in a road accident for draping his body in tricolor. Under the Act, only the body of a person who was given national honour can be draped in the tricolor flag.
