HMS Queen Elizabeth

HMS Queen Elizabeth is an aircraft carrier of the British Royal Navy. It is to be deployed in the Indo Pacific along with a new Carrier Strike Group in the later half of 2021. This deployment was discussed between UK and Japan during their virtual ‘2+2’ meeting held recently. This development is said to mark a new phase in UK- Japan cooperation in security and defence, in the post-Brexit era.
