Tibetology

Tibetology refers to the study of all aspects involving Tibet, like history, religion, language, culture, politics etc. In a bid to curb Chinese propaganda amid the border standoff at the Eastern Ladakh, the Indian Army is considering promotion of Tibetology among armed personnel. While many Army officers have expertise with regards to Pakistan, very few have knowledge on China and Tibet. The proposed initiative is aimed at addressing this lacuna.
