Uttar Pradesh: Governor promulgates ordinance against forcible religious conversions

The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel has promulgated an ordinance against forcible or fraudulent religious conversions. The ordinance provides for imprisonment up to 10 years and a maximum fine of Rs 50,000 under different categories. It also curbs religious conversions only for the sake of marriage.

Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh assassinated

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, an Iranian scientist was “assassinated” on November 26, 2020 in Absard city of Iran. The scientist was alleged by Israel to have led the Islamic Republic military nuclear programme.
