Article 371(D) of the Constitution needs to be amended for bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh: Law Ministry

The Union Law Ministry informed the Group of Ministers (GoM) that the Article 371 (D) of the Constitution of India needed to be amended for facilitating bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. The Article 371D of Constitution of India grants Special provisions with respect to the State of Andhra Pradesh.
The constitution Amendment Bill would require two-third majority of Parliament for its passage, which will be the toughest challenge in the process.
