But under art, 19 (1)a even though it is directly written it has to be accepted as freedom of press which are resemble with freedom of speech and expression.
You guys are absolutely right.
Can anyone just clarify the 2nd Question, Child marriage, sati & dowry all three were prohibited during british period by makinn some laws. Are we still following the same?
in question 2 .sati dowry and child marriages are no where in the constitution …as these are only acts…but untouchbility is mentioned in consti according to article 17…
quasi or semi federal structure is due to more power given to center as compared to states like center has right to take over control of states in case of emergency, center has more control over country’s finances so states are dependent on center for there finances…governor is appointed by center as a representative of center in states which can takeover control of states as demanded by situation….states cant have there different constitution….nor they can amend it…some other factors like appointed of ias IPS officers by center etc. cause the indian constitution to be quasi federal..
Except Untouchability all other social evils are prohibited by making laws and not by constitutional amendmends. Only untouchan\bility is embraced in the constitution in article 17.
