Patiala House court unveils e-stamping
Patiala House court complex, one of the six district courts in Delhi switched to e-stamping facility completely.
With this the court became the first district court to fully switch over to the e-stamping process and eliminate stamp papers.
Why this switch over?
The change to e-stamping is aimed at ensuring hassle-free transactions and keeping a check on fraudulent practices.
The e-stamping facility, which was introduced in April 2008, is now available in all denominations. The e-stamping facility fetches city government average revenue of Rs. 200 crore monthly.
