Uttarakhand enforces Gutka ban
From January 1, 2013, Uttarakhand government enforced the ban on sale, purchase and storage of gutka and tobacco-based pan masala. The decision was taken by the Cabinet nearly two-and-a-half-month back. Traders were given time to exhaust the stock by December 31, 2012.
