“INDRA”: India, Russia joint naval exercise
India and Russia held joint naval exercise ‘INDRA’ in Mumbai. The exercise was held in 20003 for the first time and is being conducted every two years.
Objective: To enhance interoperability, will be helpful in tackling threats like the pirates in the Gulf of Aden. It will also build greater cooperation and mutual understanding b/n two navies.
