CSIR signs MoU with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT-D and Vinjana Bharati for adoption of CSIR Technology in Rural Areas

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has entered into a tripartite agreement with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT Delhi and Vinjana Bharati in order to adopt the CSIR Technology to be utilized for rural development. It is also expected to bring together all the concerned organizations together for cooperation and knowledge sharing so that rural development objective can be realized in the country.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship program launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in order to ensure transformational change and development by leveraging knowledge institutions to build the required network and infrastructure in such areas in the country.

On the other hand, Vunjana Bharati is an RSS-linked science body functioning in the country.

Within the scope of this MoU, UBA will be able to access the CSIR rural technologies in order to utilize them for fulfilling the aspirations of the rural areas of the country. This is going to serve as the required framework for effective and national implementation of UBA. It will also bring all the stakeholders such as the concerned ministries, district administration, local Panchayati Raj Institutions, into participating in the UBA.
