Online sale of Khadi face masks by KVIC

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission has begun to sell khadi face masks online on its website “kviconline.gov.in”.

Highlights

The KVIC is selling cotton masks at Rs 30 per piece and silk masks at Rs 100 per piece. KVIC has fixed the minimum order for online purchase of masks as Rs 500. KVIC is to deliver within five days from the date of purchase

About the masks

The buyers have option of choosing four types of masks namely white cotton, black piping, silk masks in printed silk material and solid colors and white cotton masks with tri color piping.

Significance

The online sales is being launched to prevent online frauds in the name of Khadi. Khadi are made of 100% pure cotton and also hand made. The fraudulent products do not carry on both these features.

Silk Masks

The silk masks being sold are triple layered. The two inner layers of the mask are made of 100% pure cotton and the top layer is made of silk. Also, the silk masks have adjustable ear loops and are of standard sizes.
