TCS launches Initiatives to tackle COVID-19

Tata Consultancy Services, a major IT firm, has launched several initiatives to help in the fight against the pandemic.

Corona Warriors Course

A free online self-certification course called Corona Warriors was launched by TCS iON- a unit of the IT major. It is a 6 hours self-paced course with the objective of preparing the frontline workers to deal with the COVID-19 crisis.

Course’s Focus

The program has been designed for paramedical and professional healthcare workers, nurses, pharmacists, receptionists, laundry, radiology, technicians and biomedical waste management staff. The course offers instructions on various topics such as virtual support practice, infection control policies, mental health education, resident awareness, travel mode sanitisation, visitor movement management, social distancing protocols and laboratory testing guidelines by WHO.

Ignio Cognitive Procurement

A software venture of TCS- Digitate has a solution called ‘ignio Cognitive Procurement’. The solution will help enterprises make faster and smarter decisions regarding purchase and procurement. It enables finding hard-to-discern anomalies and provides granular operational intelligence needed for procurement in times of crisis situations like the present.
