CPGRAMS 7.0

The ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions recently launched the CPGRAMS version 7.0. The upgraded version will enable better public grievance redressal.

  • What is CPGRAMS?

CPGRAMS stands for Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System. It is an online web-enabled system for public grievance redressal. It is a system by which citizens can register complaints to various departments under the central and state governments.

  • Which ministry launched the CPGRAMS?

The CPGRAMS was launched in 2007 by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances under the union ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions. The system was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC).

  • How does the CPGRAMS function?

The CPGRAMS can be used by registering oneself on the official site and then lodging a complaint. The status of the grievance can be tracked on the website. There are also facilities to receive clarifications and notifications from the concerned officials. The grievances are dealt with by a nodal officer who may forward the complaint to concerned officer for resolution.

    High Court of Kerala has not so far disposed of writ petition No.10189 of 2018 in Pension Matter of senior citizen in spite of the respondents having filed counter affidavit in early 2019. Petitions in similar matter filed subsequently , say writ petition 41327 of 2018 was disposed of two years back
