ITBP launches Matrimonial Portal

One of the five Central Armed Police Forces of India, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP) has launched a matrimonial site to help its unmarried, widowed and separated personnel in finding a suitable soulmate. The dedicated website portal was started last week will be managed by the Information Technology(IT) wing of the ITBP and will only be accessible to its staff.
ITBP is mountain warfare trained force primarily tasked to guard the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China and Nepal, at present has about 1,000 unmarried women and 2,500 men in its various ranks as per its officials. The matrimonial site was launched to provide service couples of ITBP with the opportunity of serving together, as government rules allow preferential posting at same location for serving couples working under the same organization. ITBP at present has about 333 couples in the force(both husband and wife working under ranks of ITBP).
