Priyanka Chopra receives UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award
Miss World 2000, Priyanka Chopra has been honored by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) with UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award.
She was named as the recipient of the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award by United Nations Children’s Fund in June this year, received the award in New York on Tuesday, 3rd December 2019.
Priyanka Chopra has worked with UNICEF since 2006 and has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for child rights by the United Nations Children’s Fund(UNICEF) in August 2010 and December 2016.
Priyanka Chopra was honored with the fourth highest civilian award of India, Padma Shri in 2016.
Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award is named after American actor Danny Kaye. He was appointed as the first goodwill ambassador of UNICEF in 1954.
