Union Cabinet approves MoU with Election Commission of Maldives

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has given its approval to the proposal to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the cooperation in the field of administration and electoral management by the Election Commission of India with the Election Commission of Maldives.
The MoU includes the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of organizational and for the technical development of the electoral process.
The proposed MoU will promote and boost the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Under the proposed MoU, the Election Commission of India will aim at building capacity support/technical assistance, training of personnel, institutional strengthening, holding regular consultations, etc for the Election Commission of Maldives.
