Spain clinch 6th Davis Cup title

Spain defeated Canada 2-0 in the finals of the 108th edition of the Davis Cup held on the Caja Magica center court in Madrid on Sunday. Spain won its 6th title this year having previously won in 2011. Finished as Runners-ups, the 2019 result has been the best result for Canada in the competition to date.
Davis cup started in the year 1900, is considered to be the men’s tennis world cup today. The United States of America has been the most successful team within the 119-year-old competition with 32 titles. India has finished as runners-up thrice in 1966, 1974 & 1987.
