Tate Modern overtakes British museum

The British museum was the UK’s most visitor attracting museum over a decade. It is now beaten by the Tate Modern museum which has 5.9 million visitors a year. It was opened in 2000. It has staged blockbuster exhibitions  of Picasso and Modigilani in 2018. In 2018, the Liverpool World museum had the maximum number of visitors mainly for its Teracotta warriors which helped them to jump by 111%
