About World Design Protopolis
Objective: It is aimed at implementing holistic progress in mega cities across the world and thus making them sustainable. The project also aims to measure progress of city, attract investments and solve problems so that the city becomes a better place for citizens.
With this project, the WDO is trying to prototype a future city. It has selected Bengaluru as first ever city in world to implement this project, which is exclusively for big cities.
Also, unlike WDO’s 1-year celebratory programme, the World Design Capital, this 5-year project stresses on measurability, which is the main difference in project. Moreover, WDP will also measure what WDO did in the city and how city benefitted and who benefitted over a period of 5 years.
