Prasar Bharti, Digital Television Russia ink MoU on Joint TV Programme

India’s Public Service Broadcaster Prasar Bharati and Digital Television Russia (DTR) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Joint TV Programme cooperation.
The MoU aimed at co-producing TV programmes, dubbing and repackaging of popular programmes from the both countries.
It also seeks to improve aspects related to technology modernisation, news exchange and programmes in order to set the stage for a new media era in both the countries.
The strategic alliance between signatory parties will focus on high quality production, distribution and marketing of TV programme content related to art, culture, science, research, trade and technology etc.
Joint production and exchange partnership will promote each nation’s unique culture and traditions through cooperation in all areas in the media arena. It will seek to provide audiences from both countries access to unprecedented rich variety of factual content and thematic entertainment.
It should be noted that DTR is a joint stock company of Russia Television and Radio (VGTRK) and Rostelecom JSC.
