New Delhi hosts ASEAN India Film Festival 2018
The ASEAN India Film Festival 2018 has started in New Delhi on May 25, which will be inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore. During the 6-day event, 32 films from 11 countries will be screened. It includes 2018 Best Film in the National Film Awards Village Rockstar, Singaporean film Maker Kirten Tan’s film Pop Aye, first female director of Brunei Darussalam Siti Kamaluddin’s movie Yasmine. Beyond films, the festival will also have panel discussions on various aspect of cinema. The film festival will be a platform for people of the film industry of member countries to explore areas of cooperation in the domain of cinema and cultural cooperation. The Directorate of Film Festivals is organising the Film Festival in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs as part of the series of events to commemorate the 25 years of ASEAN and India relations.
