British Prince and Princess arrives in Pakistan
Prince Williams, the Duke of Cambridge and his Duchess arrived in Pakistan on October 15, 2019. This is the first high official visit from Britain to Pakistan since 2006. The visit was organized upon request of UK and commonwealth office. The UK aims at access to quality education to girls and young women in Pakistan.
Highlights of the visit
- The Prince is to focus on climate change and tour around Pakistan during his visit
- The couple will also visit the mountainous country side in Pakistan during their 5 day stay in the country
The program and purpose of the visit is being kept a secret due to security constraints. The Late Princess Diana had visited Pakistan in 1996 to attend a fund-raising ceremony built by the then cricketer and now PM Imran Khan.
