Tamil Nadu has the Highest Wind Power installed Capacity as on 31st October 2019
The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) New and Renewable Energy, Power and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Raj Kumar Singh in a written reply to Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, 3rd December 2019, informed that the installed wind power capacity in the country as on 31.10.2019 is 37,090.03 MW.
Tamil Nadu with 9231.77 MW has the highest installed capacity of wind power followed by Gujarat with 7203.77 MW at second place, Maharashtra with 4794.13 MW at the third place,
Karnataka with 4753.40 MW at fourth place, Rajasthan with 4299.72 MW at fifth place, Andhra Pradesh with 4092.45 MW and Madhya Pradesh with an installed capacity of 2519.89 MW makes the list top seven states/Union Territories in the country as on 31.10.2019.
The seven states above make a total of 36,895.13 MW out of the total 37,090.03 MW wind power capacity of the entire country.
