What is a Central Plan?

Central Plan also is known as Annual Plan is basically a Five Year Plan which is divided into 5 annual plans. It is the Central Plan for the year which helps the government in achieving the larger goal of the Five Year Plan. The funding of the Central government is evenly divided between budgetary support from the government and from extra-budgetary resources of public enterprises. The financial support extended by the government for the support of the Central Plan is known as budget support.
