What is Halophyte and Glycophyte?

Halophyte is a plant that grows naturally in a Salt-Marsh or in saline environment; Generally Halophytes are adapted to environment to conserve water. Xerophyte is an example of Halophyte.

The large majority of plant species are Glycophytes, which are not salt-tolerant and are damaged fairly easily by high salinity.
